Swim Pace Calculator
Enter the distance you swam and the time it took, and this calculator works out your pace per 100 meters or yards — plus predicted times for common pool distances (50, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1500) at that same pace.
Predicted times
| 50m | 0:53 |
| 100m | 1:45 |
| 200m | 3:30 |
| 400m | 7:00 |
| 800m | 14:00 |
| 1500m | 26:15 |
How it works
Pace is your total time divided by distance, scaled to a standard 100-meter or 100-yard unit and shown as minutes:seconds. The predicted-times table applies that same pace to common pool distances, scaled linearly from your result.
Tip
Pace naturally drifts over longer distances as fatigue sets in, so treat the predicted times as a starting estimate based on holding a perfectly even pace, not a guarantee — especially for distances much longer than the one you timed.
Meters or yards?
Long-course and short-course pools are usually measured in meters, while many US pools use yards — switch the unit toggle to match the pool you swam in, since a pace per 100m and a pace per 100yd are not directly comparable.
